eVolution Information Systems
eVolution provides dedicated, professionally qualified Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCDP and CCNP certified engineers to plan, design, install, configure, optimise and deploy your Cisco network successfully into your organisation's existing computing environment. Whether your requirement is for Remote, Small Office/Home Office [SOHO], Branch Office, Head Office, Campus LAN, Corporate LAN or WAN [Intranet, Internet, Extranet], then eVolution can design, configure and implement a cost-effective, secure and flexible ethernet network to satisfy your specific requirements.

This section does not include the design, configuration, implementation and support of Stateful Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks [VPNs], Intrusion Detection Systems [IDS] or Intrusion Protection Systems [IPS]. Details of the Cisco technical consultancy services provided by eVolution can be located under the 'Network Security' section of this website. Please access 'Network Security' via the main navigation bar.

eVolution provides a complete and comprehensive consultancy service for the network design, implementation and management of your Novell, Microsoft or Citrix network , based upon a Cisco hardware infrastructure.

The design or evaluation of your LAN starts by assessing the LAN type [Large Building, Campus, Small/Remote Site], LAN design topology [hierarchical, redundant or secure], LAN media [Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet], LAN routed protocols [IP, IPX] and  LAN  hardware  [cabling, repeaters, hubs, bridges, switches and routers] installed to support your organisation's Novell, Microsoft or Citrix  network.

Assessment of the above, together with realistic server and desktop network performance expectations/benchmarks, will determine the requirements for LAN segmentation [via bridges, catalyst switches or routers], VLAN implementation and routing protocols to be used.

Common to both LAN and WAN design, will be the prototype/pilot testing of the proposed network design, prior to implementation. Based upon client requirements, the scope of the prototype/pilot will be determined, a test plan developed, equipment purchased and installed, network design tested, final tests performed and demonstrations performed until the design solutions meets the client's need for performance, security, capacity and scalability.

The design and implementation of your WAN, will be based upon Cisco's three tier design model of Core, Access and Distribution tiers. The successful design of the WAN will depend on :

[1] Requirements of the WAN - reliability of service, minimisation of bandwidth cost and maximisation of bandwidth efficiency;

[2] Selecting a WAN Technology - Analogue Modem, DSL, Cable Modem, Leased Line, ISDN, Frame Relay, X25, ATM;

[3] Selecting the WAN Hardware - recognise scalability constraints and performance and recommend products and technologies to meet requirements for performance, capacity and scalability in an enterprise network;

[4] Provisioning the WAN.

Following the design and implementation of your chosen networking architecture, eVolution can provide technically qualified engineers to maintain, manage, configure and troubleshoot  your servers, switches, bridges and routers to maintain optimum networking performance.
